Who should not buy OTC hearing aids online?

Online OTC purchase can be useful for some adults, but it is not the right path for every hearing problem.

Medical warning signs

Sudden hearing loss, ear pain, discharge, bleeding, dizziness, sudden ringing, or a major one-sided change should be evaluated before buying a device online.

Severe hearing difficulty

If a person cannot understand loud speech in a quiet room, self-service OTC purchase may not provide enough support.

High-frequency caution
